Geliyor gelmekte olan! Büyük değişimlere hazır mıyız? Elinin uzandığı bu kartın adı SANDIKLI, her ne kadar evlenme çağına gelen kızların çeyiz sandığını temsil etse de bir o kadar ‘ölüm-tabut’ kavramlarını da içeren bir sembol. Yani evlilik gibi bir tür yeni hayat ya da ölüm gibi köklü bir değişim demek oluyor. Gece uyurken Mevlana’nın gelip kulağına “Düzenim bozulur, hayatım altüst olur diye endişe etme. Nereden biliyorsun hayatın altının üstünden daha iyi olmayacağını?” demişçesine, büyük bir özgüvenle yola çıkışını görüyorum. Sen hayatında büyük ve etkili yeni şeylere adım atacaksın dostum, ben bunu hissediyorum!

“Sandıklı motifi evlilik isteğini ve bebek beklentisini simgeler. Bu motif geleneksel olarak her genç kıza evlilik öncesi alınması gereken ‘çeyiz sandığı’nın stilize edilmiş halidir. (…) Bu motif genelde evlilik ve çocuk istediğini simgeliyor olsa da, bazı yörelerde tabut ve ölüm temalarını da taşıyabilmektedir. Bazı kültürlerde doğum, çoğalma ve yaşam anlamına gelirken, bazılarında ise yaşamın sonu yani ölüm demektir ve ikisi de ‘sandık motifi’ ile simgelenir.”

Traditionally, this is the bridal chest for the bride's trousseau, which should be bought before the wedding. (…) This motif, symbolizing the desire for marriage and children, can sometimes, in some regions, symbolise death and the coffin. In other words, while some interpret birth and reproduction as the initiation of life, some others interpret it as the end of life. In both cases, it is called a chest."

While it traditionally represents the dowry chest prepared for a young woman before marriage, it also carries the symbolism of a coffin.
